Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Award
The Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Award competition is open to Eagle Scouts who are registered in an active unit and have not reached their 19th birthday during the year of application. To enter, an application consisting of a two-page application form, four-generation ancestry chart, and a 500-word patriotic theme should be submitted to a local SAR Chapter, though in some cases, the competition may be entered at the State SAR Society level. Winners in the State competitions advance to the National contest with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places of $10,000, $6,000, and $4,000 respectively and awards of $500 for winners in 4th and 5th place with $200 going to winners in 6th to 10th place.
Your contributions will help to ensure that the leaders of tomorrow might continue to be recognized at appropriate levels. Donors of each $500 will be honored at an upcoming Donor Awards Breakfast and will first receive the King Fund Donation Recognition Medal. Subsequent contributions of $500 will also be recognized with the presentation of a Scout Palm in order of Bronze, Gold, Silver. Donate today!
